My sister and I had inventoried the many LEGO toys I had saved from the vacuum cleaner and my mom's wrath, and discovered that many of our minifigs were bald. This distressed us, as we felt that LEGO minifigs should not be bald (I've since gotten over that bias). So we wrote to LEGO asking for a set that consists only of minifig hair and hat pieces. We also complained that there weren't enough small sets cheap enough for kids to buy easily.
Only a couple of weeks later, I received this letter in the mail. I was stunned. I suppose I hadn't really expected any sort of response, and when I got one, I wasn't ready for it. My sister and I read it over and over, and I found a safe place to preserve it (which is why I still have it to scan):
